By 1983 the business had grown to the point that
the facilities at the airport were no longer sufficient. A new
facility was built on 12 acres adjacent to the airport. The facility was
completed and occupied in 1984.
1984 also brought a chance to expand once again, by the retrieval of our first
vehicle. This vehicle was stored throughout it's litigation, just as the
aircraft were.
The new facility provided a place for accident investigation, with
an engine teardown room, conference room and inside space to layout an
aircraft or vehicle for inspection.
ASOD reached a peak as the largest aircraft retrieval and storage company in the
southwestern United States by the end of 1986.
With over 50 combined years of experience,
our Sales Dept. decided to be more aggressive in buying and selling aircraft salvage.
Our used parts sales has become a leading contributor in the over all income
structure.
With the growth of vehicle retrieval, storage and investigations, ASOD formed
Dallas Accident,
Storage and Investigation Facility (DASIF) in 1989.
This provided our same services of nationwide secure
transportation, storage and investigation
facility for items other than aircraft such as: automobiles, boats, motorcycles, fork lifts,
industrial equipment, critical evidence, etc...
Air Salvage of Dallas and Dallas
Accident, Storage and Investigation Facility
have become leaders in the industry. Our experienced staff looks
forward to providing you with quality services for your needs.
